Our Story & Wedding Party

Our Story

•How did we meet? Navigating a haunted forest on horseback, sword in one hand, rein in the other, Eugene galloped through uncharted territory and rescued Gae from the captive of.....No No No! It wasn't that exactly. We met during orientation week while in graduate school in the US. I was late, (Dad, you can skip this part) and sat behind two friendly faces from the motherland; Gae and her sister Kedi. This new campus was not all I intended to get familiar with! *wink*wink (Dad you can skip this part again) We formed an incredible friendship, which has sinced transitioned and grown into a formidable partnership, filled with love, friendship, tears, support, joy, laughs and a whole lot of argument on who should make dinner when we both get back home from work tired! •The Proposal Unbeknownst to Gae, her mother dearest and sister Kedi, flew from Botswana to visit. I recall when she came home that day, tiredly walking up the stairs after a hard days work, she exclaimed "It smells like Mama", remarking on the distinct fragrance of her mums perfume. Little did she know, Mum and Kedi were hiding in the room waitng to jump out and surpirse her. Tired where? Gae immediately sprung back to life filled with smiles and energy. The next day, we flew to Barbados, where I secretly planned with the resort manager to setup a romantic dinner on the beach. Right there, on the shores of the S Hotel in Barbados, under the moonlight, with Diana Ross' and Lionel Richie's Endless Love playing on the Sax in the background, I went down on one knee and asked Gae to be my wife. She hesitated for a while, in proper Gae fashion, but ultimatley said YES! We are so excited to start the next chapter of our lives together! And we are looking forward to continue to grow, live, love, laugh. We wouldn't be able to do this without the support of our families and special friends like you. Thank you for all your love, support, and guidance. We truly appreciate it. #Live#Love#Laugh #ToNewBeginnings #GrowTogether #BotswanaWedding #GhanaWedding
